Logline

Amidst the rising pressures facing Seattle’s queer sanctuary, a displaced outsider discovers that the city’s vibrant nightlife is not just an escape, but a hopeful, hard-fought home built by those who refuse to be broken.

Ideal Candidates

Our ideal candidate is a trans person who has moved to Seattle within the past two months, or is moving to Seattle in the next month, and is doing so in search of a community not only where they’re free to be themselves, but are celebrated in doing so. Ideal Candidates should be comfortable being filmed and talking on camera, both in an interview setting as well as in their day-to-day for b-roll footage, and excited to share their story of triumph in finding that community.

Additional Candidates

While we’re looking to document the move to and initial months finding community in Seattle, we’re also looking for trans people who have moved to Seattle within the last 6 months and begun to find community. Additional Candidates should be comfortable being filmed and talking on camera, both in an interview setting as well as in their day-to-day for b-roll footage, and potentially open to being introduced to more recent arrivals in a community setting.
